We have included a lot of links on this page for resources and information for both the professional and amateur songwriter/performer. |
Wolfgangs Vault
This link is not so much a musicians resource, it is more of a musicians delight. Wolfgang's Vault is a huge collection of ORIGINAL VINTAGE poster art and memorabilia from days gone by. I look at it as a true hippie museum, with original posters from the Fillmore East, Woodstock, Isle of Wight Festival and the Monterey Jazz Festival to name just a few. Original handbills from Jimi Hendrix concerts to original posters from a Yardbirds concert with both Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. Be prepared for a great look into music history. Also features an on-line version of Crawdaddy, one of the first music magazines and still going strong and historic concerts available for streaming and download. It is a must see for any fan of classic rock and roll.
The Musicians Upload Directory
This book is a must have for any musician or band that is interested in getting their music heard on-line. There are hundreds of websites that you can upload your music to. One of the best resource books available. The cost is a mere $19.95. Order on-line here or click the photo above.
This package includes the upload directory and lots of other extremely helpful items for the composer/musician. It includes loops, music business contracts and much more.
Tunecore is a musicians dream come true. If you have original music you can upload your music to Tunecore and have it sold on iTunes, E-music, Napster, Rhapsody and more for a very small flat fee. You can sell your music as individual songs or complete albums. Take some time and see what they have to offer.
I have listed iTunes on this page for a couple of reasons. First and foremost is their software which makes the transferring of mp3's to a portable music device remarkably easy and seamless. Also if you have their software installed you can select from a number of FREE podcasts from the iTunes store to listen to. There are literally hundreds to choose from. Secondly, the selection of music that iTunes offers is gigantic. With more and more people getting into trouble with peer to peer networks (illegal downloads) it is worth the small price of an iTunes account to have access to millions of songs ,T.V. broadcasts and movies. iTunes has recently surpassed WalMart to become the world's largest music retailer.

Musicians Friend is THE online place for any new musical gear that you need.
Rhapsody Music Pass is a great place to download music and "keep it legal". Their two-week free pass is well worth trying.
Never hurts to compare prices and find the best deal.
Another website that offers downloadable music and videos. One thing that makes them a little different is that they offer all of those great music compilations that you see on T.V. Monsters of Rock, Monster Ballads,80's Gold and the like.
A great on-line access for brass and woodwind needs.
Omnis is a website hosting company whose small monthly rate is hard to beat.
